Corrective orthosis can easily fit in all kinds of shoes thanks to its flexible and ultra thin patented design.
The patented external tendon in silicone EPITHELIUM™ FLEX enables the straightening-up of the big toe and also enable the absorption of pressures on the “hallux valgus” (bunion) and thus relieve pain.
The EPITHELIUM™ patch creates a comfortable end-stop with the shoe-support and thereby allows pushing the 1st metatarsal back. The extra thin metatarsal bangle of contention shall inhibit the squashing and the widening of the forefoot.
Machine-washable at 40°C.

The Hallux valgus is characterized by the deviation of the big toe towards the 2nd toe. The first metatarsal head becomes fairly pronounced and is then referred to as a ‘bunion’. This deformation affects about 5 to 10% of the population and can be very disabling. Bunions are usually caused by a combination of the way we walk, the foot we inherit and inappropriate footwear use.
Several studies on this pathology of the foot show that there is a congenital predisposition (in 1/3 cases): the deformation and the bunion then appear before age 15; a predisposition for sex: women are nine times more affected than men and a predisposition in people who uses tight shoes and pointed ends.
To correct, limit and reduce the development of Hallux valgus (bunion) during the night
Corrective orthosis for use during the night. The use of Corrective orthosis EPITACT® Night helps to correct the deformation and limit the development of hallux valgus. Contributes to the relief of joint pain during the night and suppresses contact pains.
The thermomodulated reinforcement fixes the axis of the big toe in order to limit the retraction of the ligaments during the night, thus relieving the joint pain. The opening in the area of "bunions" suppresses the compression and friction, thus relieving the pain contact (sheets, pillow, etc.).
During the day, you should use the Corrective Orthosis Day. At night, the rigid Corrective Orthosis EPITACT® Night adapted to your needs, and will limit the contraction of the ligaments and preserve your sleep.

To alleviate Hallux valgus (bunions) pain
A 1 mm thick Epithelium 26® patch positioned on the bunion prevents rubbing without introducing additional pressures related to tight shoes. Easy to put on, they remain well in place.
The protector can be used interchangeably on the right or left foot.
Machine-washable at 40°C in a washing net supplied.
If you need to wear these devices each day, taking good care of them, you may keep and use them for several months.
It is a simple protection that although effective in relieving pain related to frictions in bunions, is not intended to correct the deformation.

AVOID FRICTION AND THE PAIN ASSOCIATED WITH BUNIONS
The self-adhesive dressings relieve pain associated with hallux valgus through thegel Epithelium® Activ which di stributes pressure and reduces friction at the origin of pain.
Very fine, dressings can be used in all shoes without introducing additional pressures.
They are washable with soap and water, reusable 5 times on average (remove at night).
These dressings suitable for diabetics.

WASHABLE CUSHIONS to relieve pain from bunions and plantar pain
This EPITACT® solution is design to alleviate pain under the forefoot associated with a Hallux valgus (bunions).
These cushions are made of EPITHELIUM 26® to protect the plantar zone (2mm thick) and the hallux valgus area (silicone patch of 1mm thick).
Compact and discreet, they can be used on your regular closed shoes. It has an excellent setting in the foot, using socks or tights.
Machine washable at 40°C.
Life span: several months on average.

Serum for immediate relief of joint pain
Recommended when the bunion causes excessive friction and joint pain.
This kit contains a soothing serum with essential oils and two anti-friction EPITHELIUM® protections. Their application may be accomplished in two ways: in case of mild discomfort in the joint, applying 5 drops of serum and massage the bunion; if the discomfort is higher use use imultaneously the EPITHELIUM® protectors and benefit from the calming effects continuously throughout the day. This product is not recommended for people allergic to salicylate derivatives (aspirin).
Associated to the protection against friction, the serum is the response to joint discomfort caused by Hallux Valgus. The soothing action, based on essential oils of wintergreen is indicated in joint discomfort at the level of Hallux valgus (Bunions). The specific formula is effective for use in massage or put on protections for continued action.
Protection (dressings) on EPITHELIUM® limits the friction on the skin surface and allows the progressive release of serum.
Each protection is on average 10 times reusable and washable by hand with soap and water.
